Singer SL is part of the Hayleys group and carries the legacy of the 145-year-old Singer USA. It’s a leading consumer durable manufacturer and marketer based in Sri Lanka. We secured the mandate to help them sell quarterly unsold inventory through organic and paid promotions.
Challenge
Sri Lanka was going through one of its worst economic periods, and consumer demand was very low, which reflected in the overall low online sales.
Solution
We conducted market research to identify the need-based consumer durables that could find easy buyers. Subsequently, we bundled discretionary products with them and promoted using programmatic ads.
Impact
- 20% of the unsold inventory was sold online in the last year, despite overall low online demand.
